Demo Duck partnered with GEICO to create a series of YouTube digital ads called “Ads from the Vault.” Taking inspiration from classic theatrical cartoons, the 15-second animated shorts imagine what vintage GEICO ads may have looked like in the 1930s and 1940s. After all, GEICO has been providing affordable insurance options to customers since the 1930s. These vignettes were a joy for the Demo Duck team to script and animate—a chance to pay homage to a time that laid the foundation for modern animation.
You can read more about the project in this nice little write-up on AdWeek’s AgencySpy site. I dusted off the PR skills to pitch and secure this placement.
The video series has almost 7,000,000 views on YouTube—and counting!
